Weekly Rate Update 07Oct16 From Gerry Phillips With Movement Mortgage

Mortgage Rates are beginning to edge upwards.I believe that will be the general trend for the remainder of this year... UNLESS the job creation numbers continue to disappoint investors or some major unforeseen global economic event occurs.

Quote of the week from Movement Secondary Market....

The question to ask now is whether or not September’s jobs number is a blip on the radar or a sign of weakness that could change Yellen’s plans. A small increase is still possible in December. But more weak jobs reports for October and November could change that course. It’s worth watching.

MORTGAGE RATES at a glance..

  • 30yr Conventional - high 3s

  • 15yr Conventional - right at 3 to low 3s

  • 30yr Government - mid 3s

  • 15yr Government - low 3s

**Your Rate depends on several factors..

  • timing of your closing

  • loan amount, term, & program

  • credit score

  • property type

  • % down

  • etc....
